vfat und Grub

Hi ho,
jetzt hab ich mittels linux-fdisk mal eine neue 20GB primäre vfat Partition 
angelegt und mit der windows98-CD mal format c: gemacht. 

Nur nochmal meine Aktuelle Partionierung (man kann ja nie wissen ;-)

Leider ist jetzt auch mein Grub startdialog hinfort. Das Bios meldet beim 
Start immer nur: "harddisk boot sektor invalid".

Momentan boote ich über meine gestern erstellte Gruub-Boot-CD.

Ich hab schon mehrmal "grub-install /dev/hda" ausgeführt:

grub-install /dev/hda
Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.

grub-update lieferte mir auch nur ne nette neue menu.lst. 

Ich bin bei google nicht weiter gekommen. Daher hoffe ich auf eure 
weitreichende Erfahrung.
