.htaccess mysql anmeldung an apache

Hallo Liste,

ich versuche gerade eine mysql datenbank der apache (2.0.49) .htaccess -
zugangskontrolle zum fliegen zu bekommen. ich benutze das mod_auth_mysql
von http://www.heuer.org .

ich habe zuvor mysql nach /usr/local/mysql installiert. nun versuch eich
das modul mit:
apxs -cia -L/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql -I/usr/local/mysql/include/mysql
-lmysqlclient mod_auth_mysql.c
zu installieren. klappt aber nicht... er schmeisst die fehlermeldung:

die entstandene mod_auth_mysql.la sieht so aus:
