find, xargs und grep (War: SuSE8.0 + KDE3.0.3 -> kdm-Problem)

Was hält Dich davon ab, das auf der Konsole _ohne_ GUI zu machen?

Strg+Alt+F1
Als "root" einloggen.
"find / -type f -o -type l | xargs grep "Welcome to Linux at" | tee Dateiname"
abschiessen.
